Corey A. Lee was born and raised in Campellsville, Kentucky. Corey attained a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Kentucky and a Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from the University of Louisville. She was admitted to the practice of law in Kentucky in 2008 and admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky in 2012.
Corey began her career as a prosecutor, serving as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney in Middlesboro, Kentucky from 2009-2010 and in Lexington, Kentucky from 2011-2012. She prosecuted various felony cases, including robbery and murder cases, and brings vast trial experience to Coy, Gilbert, Shepherd & Wilson.
She served as the city attorney for the City of Berea in 2014 and is an active volunteer at the Lexington Humane Society. She currently serves as the secretary of the Madison County Bar Association and was voted to the Kentucky Justice Association Board of Governors in 2015.
